I'm pretty proud of this background. I hope by the time this issue is complete I am better at them because this issue will be quite background intensive. Especially the next 2 pages. Backgrounds are much harder to practice for me since I learn most of my art by looking at sketches. I can't find many sketches of early rendered background works and there are not many "How to draw scenery" books on the market either. Trying to come up with a new kind of bed is tough. I didn't want it to be a tube, I wanted it to be bed like. So instead of a water bed, it is an energy bed. It even has little nanobots swimming in it!

Oh, sorry. I'm talking about backgrounds while you are trying to look at the Fenny fan service pic. Silly me.

blntmaker: That's one of the things I wanted to put more effort in on this issue ^_^

usedbooks: It was very annoying in my script writing as well! They are just pretentious.

mlai: I thought about the page even more and realize I could have used silhouette images to replace the background objects. Then I could have combined the panels and had the vague background. In fact it would have made people more curious. That's why I love your commenting. You make me question things more than I usually do!

newgirlcomic: I do worry though. I need to be able to draw backgrounds. It's pretty handy in visual story telling =P

Tantz Aerine: Seems my expressions practice/research has been paying off.

albone: For some reason I tend to like cute stuff. Lots of things in The Devon Legacy story can fall into cute at times. I just try to make sure there is plenty of violence and awesome to counterbalance it >:D
