Just in case any of you are challenging the instruments Mesmer is using here's a little history lesson for all of you.

Pocket watches and medical syringes were invented in the 18th. century, so its not impossible that Mesmer may have used them.
And in those days the needles were BIG. So doctors then never said, "This won't hurt a bit."
Because it DID hurt!
