Long story short, Jessy appeared on the steps of the Eastern castle, begging to be let in after being assaulted by the infamous dictator known as the Ex-Princess. Queen Despereaux of the Eastern First kingdom took her in as her own daughter and immediately took a liking to the girl. This brought up suspicions about the healer girl being so liked by the Queen, but no one knows her real story. Besides Despereaux, Robin, Cid, And Desdemona. You'll learn who they are later.
