Mages can be real pain when they're up against you…
Magic in Ark (the current world) is categorized into schools (similar to D & D). Noogie is a generalist, thus he knows a bit of this and that. His talent lies in knowing what works best in situations, as opposed to the 'Total Overkill' methods favoured by Artillery Mages (more on them later).
