Anyway, this page shows the workings of the Elven army. Clockwise:
Griffon riders master the skies like few others can, whether through superior scouting and recon (telling the mages where to shoot) or carpet bombing.
Elven mages are usually more politically inclined, but politics builds up a lot of resentment, and what better way to vent it than at enemies (from afar)?
Allowing the 'afar' factor are the skirmishers: elite warriors specializing in dual-wielding. Their armour is deceptively light, allowing fluid motions, the better which to demonstrate how fast one can peel a potato in midair (or enemies that get too near the 'squishies').
The Hunters are elves who have voluntarily rejected society for the call of the wild. Uncounth, filthy and savage (much to the disgust of their 'betters;), they are nontheless too useful to be ignored. Some are capable of shape-shifting into the animals they so love to imitate, all the better to shred their foes with.
The priests, or in this case, lone necromancer is the backbone of the army, putting allies back into the fight or (in this case) creating help from scratch. That Sollivan works alone speaks volumes.
