Ahh those movies: where the hero let's the villain live, saying things like, "I'm not like you."  Those have always aggravated the crap out of me.  And all those times Batman let Joker live… Grrr.
But it's easy for us to say that.  Could we actually do it?  It's something I don't think anyone can truly answer unless they're in the situation.  I truly hope I never am.  It's possible I could in a dream, but if the dream was so realisitic I had to do physical tricks to even know I was dreaming, could I then; when the blood and brain matter on my hands looks and smells totally real..?
