I tried hard to think about how all these agents, scientists, and soldiers should act.  They've seen a LOT already.  They even have a mutated giant in their care.  They may not know fully what's going on, but they have enough of a handle on it to not have strong reactions when someone acts like they're coughing up a demon (from a few pages back).  Shock moments are largely over - now everyone just wanst answers!

Not to say they won't experience a few surprises in the coming pages and chapters

Of course, the same can't be said for Kimber Lee - she's still experiencing one shell-shock after another…!
