Hate to build up this family so quickly, only for them to suffer even more quickly, but I thought a dose of the 'real world' would add impact!

So… Kimber Lee noticed the car but 'accidently ignored' it.  I came up with this while thinking about a recent event that happened to me.  I was approaching some train tracks.  Off to the left I saw a train coming, not far away at all.  I hearn its horn blowing.   And I still crossed the track when it was probably only 50 feet away or so!!  It's like my body just did it and the whole time my mind's going, 'No No No!'.  There was a short intersection on the other side, with flowing traffic, so I had to stop quickly.  I bet there was only a few feet distance of between my vehicle and the train when it passed…!!

That was, and is still, unnerving!!
