Okay, a few things…

Panel 2: It looks like Eli is taking off like Superman and flying, but he's just jumping… really high…

Concerning Eli's reaction, I wanted him to do something really panic-ey and unexpected…

So why didn't Kimber Lee and company trigger the strike as soon as Eli fled? Here's how I see it: 1) His reaction took them by surprise too (yeah yeah shoulda maybe expected it…), 2) He's extremely fast. How far away could he get is a good question, but possibly far enough away not to be seriously harmed, because… 3) Kimber Lee needs to be near him for him to be vulnerable (explained previously) - they've tried bombing him before (see page 283) without lasting effect

So, Kimber Lee is on his tail! And I hope it's clear via the military communication that aircraft have deployed (really they were nearby the whole time…) intent to take on the soldier's role. Along those lines, I hope my 'military speak' sounds authentic enough (I know it's not totally, but hopefully enough…)
