Complacency is the feeling of well being when we've reached a certain level, however high or low, and we think we can do no better whether we believe it or not. Or we may fear the next turn towards unadvancement. Complacency can also be present in those who achieved great success, and believe nothing or no one can take them down, neglecting caution and wisdom in the process. Is this not also complacency? No one is above reproach. And everyone has an Achilles heel. And for every giant, there is a David, as Arms may soon find out.
