That little anomoly or may not be important. You'll just have to wait and see. But yeah, there ain't no babies. I hate babies. Remind me of maggots, they do.

Years ago, a friend and I made a vow: "In *my* fantasy epic, there will be no children!" Because don't you hate it when a perfectly good movie (take "Temple of Doom", for one; or "Red Sonya") gets ruined by some "cute", trouble-making, tag-along brat? And gag me with a spoon if the heroine gets all motherly and decides to adopt the little bastard at the end. Makes my blood boil, it does. Thus, despite this not exactly being my "fantasy epic", there ain't no children in this here comic. I should have put a similar ban on guns and trucks, neither of which can I draw convincingly to save my life. But I didn't. You'll see the artistic atrocity that is my rendering of a truck in when we get to the second issue.

Yeah, there *is* a second issue. It's almost done. You'll see it… uh, in March. Crap. Here I feel the need to apologize for the slooooooow updating once more. It'll get better. I swear. I've got the damned pages done, I do! It's just a matter of… well, a little operation I like to call "guerilla scanning". Which involves much trickery and sneaking and the local university's art school computer lab… but I've said to much. Any more, and I'll have to kill you.

Oh, and a big bucket of "muchas gracias" to all y'all: old faces and new faces and lurkin' faces what can't be seen, but still make me grin when I check my stats. I mean, shit. I, uh- don't really pay attention to, uh. numbers or rank or… crap. You found me out.

Also: Uh, I make these "notes" too long, don't I?
