When I originally conceived this comic- which I may or may not have mentioned was probably '00/ '01 (I remember sitting at the smoking table outside my freshman dorm and doing character sketches and stuff) - I called it "The Hub" because I kind of thought of it as the intersection of all possible dimensions. Kinda like a big airport, right? Later, I realized the name was a bit… dull. But most times once I've got an idea, I kinda just go with it, seein' as I'm too stuborn to admit that I could probably think of a better one if I'd spent a couple more minutes; and too lazy, but that's another story.
And yeah, I know the "Oh shit, I've suddenly found myself in an alternate reality" concept is played the fuck out. But like I said last week, the story kind of became a way for me to talk about what I went through. Plus, this way I get to make up all sorts of crazy stuff and draw all the scantily clad moster women I want*. It was also a way for me to "recycle" a bunch of characters from some of my old stories or mini-comics or RPGs that wouldn't ever get face time otherwise. Kinda cheating. But whatever.
*[Fact: drawing scantily clad monster women is really is all I've wanted to do with my life since about 1994. Spoiler: there's a lot of them in Chapter 2.]
