The Hub
Author notes
Ch. 2 - Pg. 32
HyenaHell onNot really with the funny on this one, eh? Eh, well. We're too tired for the jokes now. It's been a long day, right? I mean, over six months worth of a day. That's webcomic time for ya.
And that's it for #2! Thanks to all y'alls for sittin' through that long-ass exposition. Now onto more plot-related stuff, eh? We're still gonna be findin' out 'bout the Hub bit by bit. But proper stories start happenin'.
Startin' here in a minute with Ch. 3, I'm-a go back to once-a-week updates. Unavoidable consequence of real life bullshit. Apologies, and hopefully you'll stick with me here. I'll lure ya in with the promise that it's not a "forever" thing; and there's an actual story arc! That's right. Shit happens. Shit other than talkin' and drinkin'. I mean, there is that, too- it's kinda a staple here. But shit, son- there might even be action and excitement. I do use action lines. Really. Took about 50 pages, but we're there at last.

@tommym, Jabali, & Patrick Devine: Ha! That's what my erased notes were about- the sci-fi standard where the astronauts crash on a planet, and the "aliens" are like, humans in togas, or speedsuits, or whatever; and there's always some brief, lame explanation (if any at all) as to why they can understand 'em- like, "Oh, we gave you a pill!" or "Blah blah something about our atmosphere blah". ;)
@patrick devine: Glad ya liked the Fallen. Them's my people!
@pinkbatmax: Yay! Yer back! I missed ya, and Eve! Nice Bikini Kill lyrics, btw.
@Nega Link: Well, I can't say all my jokes are all that original, but I try to at least get decent mileage on 'em. ;)
@don'tworrybehappy: Heh. There's a couple other characters who speak more than one language- I reckon they'd hear things in their first one. There's one exception with the "everyone talks the same" rule, but that ain't 'til laters.
Also: Naw, not an elf; here's the guy I ripped off, Coop:
his devil girls have pointy ears. ;)
There are two elves characters in the Hub. I got a thing for elves. But I'm not sure my interpretation of elves exactly jives with the "tradition". More like the late Drew Hayes' "Poison Elves".
@Drasnus: Heh. I like how ya put that, you lovable enemy of walls in general!
