Sometimes people will not call a thing a zombie when it clearly is one. These things are clearly not exactly zombies in the usual sense, but if Liz wants to call them that I feel like that's okay. Also, trivia- that one that grabs Liz is actually the first design I tried for Liz's form. I didn't like it enough for that, but figured I'd reuse it here. Always recycle, kids.
