It's funny, I had Comicshop Guy (yes, that's what I call him) and Brianne together in the third comic as nameless background character, then had Brianne showed up as another background character for the furry comic, and CSG knowing James and mentioning he had a wife and it was only then I was like, "huh, guess him and that one girl could be together" then I remembered "Oh, she is also a furry". Was amused by the idea and thought about it would be an interesting relationship to explore outside of the main cast.

Reworked this page a few times, because I wanted it to be clear that CSG wasn't ashamed of his wife being a furry, but still wanted that awkwardness. Then I thought that Brianne wouldn't be as open compared to Furry Dave (The blue wolf/dog guy), so that works. Then I also thought that Gabby would have known about Brianne and the joke's punchline had evolved from CSG trying to keep his wife's hobbies a secret to James giving CSG a bit of a ribbing. Ultimately, I am happier with how it ended up.
