Although the de-evolved Johns were no match for our heroes, yet the sheer number of them alone made them a dire threat. And so, despite all other things, the constant hit and run tactics of the Johns, once they understood they were fighting a superior enemy, chipped away at the strength of the A-Team. So, that finding the last few Lithopedions was more difficult than all the rest combined. At every narrow pass, at every summit, and in every gulch, the Johns awaited the team, to attack, and then disappear into the backdrop.Which, being wild men, they were good at. The sheer desire of survival urged the team on, encouraging and exhorting on another to stay strong, they vied with one another, and their leader, in endurance. The last of the water drunk, the last of the food, eaten, the last of their strength, spent, leaving a trail of dead Johns in their wake. But look! The last, and final Lithopedion lies just ahead! It's within sight! Our heroes muster the last of their energies to get that final symbol from the pedantic arse of the lithopedion. Half crazed with suffering, they stumbled towards it, but fortune takes a twist. A rival has other plans. What now threatens our heroes? Will they have any strength left to deal with it?
