The King's Vision

Meanwhile, in the king's chambers of the castle, as the A-Team slept, preparing themselves for what may come in the morning, the parasite King's ministers and physicians insisted that the king, who has been up for days because of the crisis, get some rest and some sleep. And so the King tossed and turned for hours, finally falling into an uneasy sleep. But as he slept, he kept hearing his name being called gently, then louder, and louder, until the parasite King realized that he had slipped into a vision of sorts, of the Enchanted Chancroid. Comforting and assuring him, that despite his trials, his kingdom would be vouch safed to him. And that many allies were coming to his aid, this very night. And that about this time, tomorrow night, he would sleep soundly in safety, once again, in his own chambers. But he was severely warned, suffering many torments, that he should not deal treacherously with those he had made a covenant with. For they offered him honourable service. And that if he behaved justly, all this good would come to pass. The parasite King did not understand at first, only mindlessly begging continually, what he should do, until the vision faded from his eyes, and he awoke with a start. Calling for his soothsayers, magicians, and wizards, charging them sternly that anyone who could not interpret this vision would be cast into a cauldron of burning oil. Which made them all fearful and nervous, for none of them have ever been given such a task. It was about dawn at this time, that one of his soothsayers spoke out in the company of his colleagues, saying: 'Behold! The king's request is too hard for any of us, and we are in danger of losing our heads. But see now, there is one whom the Enchanted Chancroid hath already spoken to. None other than Hotpants himself, of the A-Team! Let us send messengers, begging him to come to us, that he may interpret the King's dream." And so agreeing with his council, they sent a messenger off to Hotpants. Who, when he heard, immediately agreed, taking with him, his A-Team. Entering the citadel, through a secret entrance.
