Hello, all!

And welcome back to a weekly update of the SuperMilo comic! Maybe even twice a week! Well, I'm sure you've noticed some changes. Yep, the comic is now in black and white. Why? Because I've been having a hard time getting it out on time in color, or getting it out at all, what with college work and other nice distractions abounding. Well, I'm a bit less distracted now, and except for extra credit stuff I'm actually done with college for the rest of the semester (I had a lot of free time last week). But, still, doing SuperMilo the Strip in black and white is something we've been talking about for a long while now (by the way, black and white is to me the most beautiful comic medium). I decided to do it in color before I started the strip here, so it pains me and feels awkward to switch over to black and white. However, these are the reasons why:

A) To give me more time to get ahead in the pipeline and work on other projects. Coloring extends the time I work on the comic to at least 2 days, with the usual multi-day head ache I get from sitting in front of a computer for that many hours a day.

B) SuperMilo Co-Creator and MiloTeam Studios staff Tommy Gray (yes, I have a posse, surprised?) is strongly urging me to show the comic in black and white and offer the colors only in our upcoming books for sale. There should be a cheaply priced small one comprising the first 14 strips or so for sale in February, only offered at WTH Con in Greensboro and possibly other conventions. I'll probably put out other small prints like that as well, working my way up to the complete collection book of the first major uber story of the strip here. So, what do you guys think about your color privileges? The power of the people can sway me, y'know.

C) If I upload the b&w now, I can work on the colors at my leisure, and then upload the colors later after the strip's complete first uber-story comes to an end (I have it scripted already). Although Tommy Gray still urges me to not upload the colors online. It does give incentive to buy, I suppose.

Anyway, sorry for the long text. You haven't heard from me in a while and I thought I had some talking room. Oh, by the way, I haven't been rotting away during the past couple of months of hiatus - I've been doing other comics. I did some Sam and Max fan comics, college work obviously, and I am happy to announce that I am also working on a guest strip for Brock Heasely's SuperFogeys. So please stay tuned to the Th3rd World website for that (trust me, I'll let you know when it happens here too).
