Sketch Card #1 - SuperMilo as himself

Hey!

Sorry, everyone, for the late update. I've been busy and missed my window of opportunity. Probably should be asleep for work tomorrow…

Anyway, my great idea is something I've been wanting to do for a while now. There are literally hundreds of SuperMilo project ideas I've had but never had time to do. This one?

Sketch cards!

I was inspired to do this from several different sources. First off, the creator of Cerebus the Aardvark back in the 1980's was so intent on getting his character out there that at conventions when asked to draw things that weren't his character - oh, say, Spiderman - he would instead draw Cerebus as that character. Secondly, I met another webcomic cartoonist like myself at a convention. He was setting up table next to me and I noticed that he was selling a lot of trading cards he had drawn the art for. I asked him about it and he told me about a great deal you can get out of a printing company in California. Just 5 bucks more or less for about 2000 trading card prints. Plus shipping and handling, I'm sure.

Well, you're probably thinking, "What? No comic? I've been jipped!" Wait, is jipped a word? Anyway, it's not like that. It's just that I've realized over the past year that I just haven't been able to do the comic like I used to. I kept telling myself I could, but I've finally opened my eyes to reality - and opened the door for a new possibility! I'll keep working on the comic - I'm not a quitter - but Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays the site will update with a SuperMilo sketch card as SuperMilo as a different character! That gives you guys something to look at while you wait for another comic. And Tuesdays and Thursdays you MIGHT see a new comic page. Yep, that's the plan.

Oh, and I'm adding a way you guys can interact: MAKE SUGGESTIONS! That's right, post comments on the sketch card updates as to who or what you'd like to see SuperMilo drawn as next! I of course won't take all suggestions, but you never know what I might fancy drawing SuperMilo as next…
