Hey, everyone!
I’m sorry things slowly died around here. The truth is that I’m trying to get a full-time job so I can get married and it’s a lot more important so, well, some other areas of my life have to be put on hold. Good news is that I’ve gotten yet another full-time job (I can’t seem to hold one down). But I know for a fact I’ll be able to hold this one down! I’m being re-hired by an old employer, the Goodwill Industries (kind of cool given my name), but this time they’re skipping the annoying temp agency phase and direct hiring me! WOO-HOO!!! Anyway, so I’m very sorry there hasn’t been a lot of updates in a very, very LONG time. I want to change that.
So, TA-DA!
Since I have a full-time job and will hopefully be getting engaged very soon, Lord willing, I can get back to my artwork since I can finally quit job hunting again. It’ll be difficult to juggle it all, but I just have to have discipline. So… WE’RE BACK IN BUSINESS, BABY!

ABOUT THE IMAGE:
This is an older image I drew in my sketchbook but redrew for the website (the original sketch doesn’t have such a HUGE head and not nearly as short legs – man, I draw better in my sketchbook than with pencil in larger scale – it’s sad, but maybe I should start working in smaller scale?). No, I didn’t color it using watercolors, but I was hoping you might think I did. Well, the casual reader, anyway. It’s actually photoshop colored. I just wanted to try something new. The original image was a humorous thought on Milo being a house cat and his transition from using a litter box to … toilet. Yes, my characters use the bathroom. The absence of bodily functions in some children’s cartoons bothered me as a child. I know, I’m weird and sick in the head, lol.

COMMISSIONS:
Lately these past 7 months or so I’ve also been doing commission work for people. It’s picked up lately (I call it answered prayer for extra cash), which is pretty awesome. You can commission me too, but please keep in mind that you’ll be put on a list and it’s a first come, first served kind of process. Older commissions get done first. But that doesn’t mean I can’t be working on several all at once. If there’s down time on one project, I may get to yours if it’s next. Prices are discussed between me and the client, but are usually cheap.
An example of my prices would be this:
A single drawing of one character or caricature (not-heavily detailed) is $10 which includes: blue pencil drawing, traditionally inked and scanned, fully digitally colored, and with no background save for some quick colors. More characters or more detail, including background, raises that estimated price. The new price is determined when I talk to the client about their needs.
Payment: I accept Paypal.

NEWS: THE CHILDREN’S BOOK – “ANDY THE PUG”
I’m sending the children’s book commission to printers soon! The client isn’t planning on selling it, which is too bad since that’d be kick-butt awesome since I illustrated it! But it’s even more important that she commissioned it for her son. It’ll be his own personal children’s book to enjoy while growing up! Sure, it’s no “Where the Wild Things Are,” but it’ll be nice. I’ll make sure to put some photos up online once I get my own copy of the book for my portfolio!
