Hey, all!
I know that things have been dead here and all through out the other SuperMilo webcomic mirror sites. But today you'll find out why. Not only that, but I'm also promising you that I've been working on SuperMilo. Things are really rolling these days. And, here in the comments, I've got the details you'll want and need to know.
We have LOADS of updates for the comic already completed and ready to upload to the internet. As a matter of fact, we have MORE THAN 6 MONTHS OF SUPERMILO UPDATES READY. That's weekly updates, although I'd prefer to update twice a week if I could. But that's the good news. The bad news is that they're ALL in black and white. Which is still good news for people who love black and white comics, as I do. Yes, you see, I realized that coloring the comics was horribly slowing me down from actually making the comics. The even better news is that, since I am focusing far less on meeting the webcomic deadline and far more on the quality of the art and story, the comic is going to be, well, of a much higher quality than before. The Origin Story and Poetry With Stripes chapters, for example, suffered from bad planning and not knowing where I was going with it. We won't have that problem now as the scripting and planning has been thoroughly worked out months upon months in advance.
The further good news is that, not only are we putting out yet another issue of the SuperMilo webcomic in printed format (as well as updating our first issue with the new website), we have, well, a new website! It's www.MiloComics.com. And instead of use Comic Word Press or whatever it was that we used last time, Tommy Gray (our friendly neighborhood web-manager, among many other things) has opened up a Comic Fury account. He plans on connecting it with our new website address (did I mention that's MiloComics.com?). Truth be told, Drunk Duck is my favorite, but hopefully Comic Fury will allow us somewhat greater design options (?). The comic's old content has started to upload there daily - DAILY - until we reach the new material, which will be sometime around July 6th. Which is the bad news…
The bad news is that the new comics won't be hitting the SuperMilo webcomic mirror sites (including this one) until the very same time in July. So you'll all have to hang on just a little while longer… But it'll be worth it! No spoilers, but not only will you see the end of the current chapter with the supers discussing SuperMilo and friends, but we already have the entire next chapter completed as well as a good chunk (about 1/4) of the chapter after that, which is still coming along nicely. I was getting most of it done at work, which is less an option now that we're in the busy season, but I've propped up my drafting table at home to a more comfortable level (I placed two bannana boxes under the legs) and have started chugging away at home! I might even start work on some other comics since I'm so far ahead… Maybe Gospelman. I want to do more for the Lord and that's a comic project long overdue. I want to do that one in color, however, and I'm less concerned with meeting comic deadlines when it comes to Gospelman. But that's another topic for another time and place!
I may be uploading some extra goodies here while we wait for the Comic Fury (MiloComics.com) website to catch up to us so that we can start the newer updates. But that depends on IF there are any extra goodies I haven't shown you all… I think we do have a piece of fan art by SuperFogey's Marc Lapierre that I haven't uploaded yet… (It was actually an art request I won in a contest). Be on the look out for future content and lots of funny webcomics!
