New pages!! (I also updated Misfit Assassins..)
wow, SO MUCH has happened since my last updates. I went to DC, visited Max, but ended up staying three more days than I planned because Patrick Wolf was coming to the Rock & Roll Hotel! Unfortunately, I wasn't "blown away" by him… he came on an hour late (an immediate turn-off…) and seemed very pretentious.
Perhaps it was the insane joy of seeing my love Tracyanne Campbell of CAMERA OBSCURA that makes the pale pleasure of seeing The Wolf (Patrick Wolf) seem so insignificant.

Yes, the Camera Obscura concert was awesome. I secretly cried (not so secretly!?!) but not cause I was star-struck (although I may have been a tiny bit) but because of that rhapsodic, incredible feeling when witnessing some of your favorite songs ever, being performed live, right before your eyes… hearing the familiar words and music, but noticing the little differences and just knowing that it's somehow realer than real.
Aaanyway, Camera Obscura rule, (as ifelldownthestairs knows already ;D!!) and Stuart Murdoch, lead singer of Belle & Sebastian, came out with a solo album (downloading right now… seems REALLLLLY promising!! Re-make of Act of the Apostle II, one of my favorite songs!! Because it has the line "I'm a genius, I'm a prodigy"… I can really relate to lyrics like that. lol).

Michael Jackson died, which depressed me way more than I expected (I never realized I cared), inspiring long bouts of melancholy that ebbed a bit when I went to see "The Hangover".

I went to the beach, picked up seashells, and then made lots of beachy jewelry with hemp, beads, seashells and odds-n-ends!! I also went to the gay pride parade in nyc, but I was wearing flip flops and one of my shoes broke and I had to tape it back together with some medical tape I had in my bag… D: And the gay pride day was fun, but tiring, and also it made me feel a bit like an outsider. Although I heart gay rights and all that, so I guess that means I'm 'in the club'. But not really… What community do I have? What parade could I ever participate in? None at all. I guess I have a pretty standard identity. ;)

Oh ps, bocaj, you live in/near dc, right? were you affected by the fort totten crash?? I wasn't thankfully (although I had to take the bus because the red line was so slow… D :!!) I hope you weren't either!


pps: I really like the second panel for some reason… it reminds me of the Royal Tenenbaums. (Although I should really use a ruler or straightedge, huh..)
