I bet Scout could have gotten past if he kept running forward not back. Oh his pansy ways.

The creature honks. There is no translation. It's not intelligent enough for language.

Also the sun is going down. Notice the long shadows? It should be down by the end of this chapter(or the beginning of the next chapter which is 15 minutes in story time.
