THIS strip was inspired by the mother of a little transgirl who had contacted me. Her daughter had brothers, and she mentioned that they got jealous that people always wanted to give thier sister free desserts and such because she was just so cute. Too precious. I had to crib it!

I was drawing a very emotional strip, then had to leave. In the grocery store, True Colors (Glee Cast) came on my iPod. I wept just a tiny bit in the frozen food aisle. It really fit what I was drawing, and also fit as a song for me to nurture the little girl I was at Sarah's age. At any rate, further experimentation with color. It occurs me that with color, you don't need lines to define panel borders, so I didn't use 'em. I like the effect.

Also, I know; mom's face is weird in the second panel. Ohwell. Too late to fix it!
