I've been thinking a lot about the response to the last strip. I almost took it down, but decided not to.

Knowing that some really great kids look to this strip for inspiration imparts a lot of responsibility. I always wanna do right by them! But it can be difficult balancing that with the narrative needs of the story. This is not, after all, a 'how to transition in elementary school' primer, but an ongoing story about a little girl and her loved one, and how her gender variance affects her relationships.. I have to keep that going, above all.

I feel bad that the advice given Sarah in this story may be bad advice for other people. I'll try to keep things as universal as possible, but at the end of the day, remember; this is Sarah's life: the same things may not apply to others.
