The "wind" lines were done with GIMP's "Ink" tool, which I conveniently enough just started messing with this past week on some of my other comics.

Here's a detail of the Princess and a certain familiar observer on the right side (Drunk Duck's comment column layout is gonna force this to shrink down, I think, but you can zoom in by clicking it):
