I've switched from doing the comic digitally with the Lasso Tool in Photoshop to doing it the old fashioned way with ink on a brush. Why? Well, I recently switched my weekday A* comic from digital to traditional like this too, and that was in large part because I'm finding it far more physically comfortable to work that way. Also, when I do them in ink I have originals I can sell and/or show at art shows and the like. It'll probably be a while before I have sales of original Princess art available directly via the web…I still have to get that going for A*, and I have another tricky coding job to do before that, and etc etc. They'll probably be going for $100 each, plus $20/$60 for US/international shipping. Here's a photo of the original art for page 136–it's black Japanese "Sumi" ink on Canson 150 lb "Illustration" paper hand cut to 11" x 11" (because that's about the largest square size I can fit in my scanner):
Also, next week we'll be reaching the end of this story arc, and then…things are going to get a little nonlinear, but way more epic. Eh…I'll explain more when that starts happening. ;)
