I always have trouble with threads in my water-mancy, too. Pesky threads. In general, I really love the contrast in the different cultures, going from all red tones to soothing blue. Fun stuff.

oooh were going into a bit of magic philosiphy here? :)
oh man I agree with you! comics dont give enough attention to how different characters talk anymore. Speech patterns are so important in films and books, they should be in comics too! Even I only started recently thinking about having quirks in speech and movement with my characters…I think because of manga comics, the translators do just translate the comic and dont think about how each character is speaking differently. Its a real shame, because youre right, it does help make each character feel more real and individual, I think you have acheived that here indeed!

I agree, when stuff is translated it usually losses so much in this sense. It’s sad, but I guess to be expected most often. Thank you so much btw. ^_^

No, but ultimatly it is hard to make water magic without it looking like avatar’s ‘water bending.’ I’ve just always loved the ideas of strong elemental and iconic magic, teslamancers, necromancers, geomancers, hydromancers, etc.
