Yes, it was Parker giving up the info afterall. And looks like he's got a bit of a double-life going on, too :/ Quinn, aka Mr. Blackmail Extraordinaire xD
And the term "three-letter man" was actually used more in the 1930's to refer to homosexual (g-a-y) men. It was also used for the word f*g (I'm sure you know what I mean, haha). I didn't want to use either word, so I had Quinn say "three-letter" even though that wasn't really part of 1920's lexicon. :P
Once again everyone, thank you for voting for The Rose Killer for the DD awards! Judging will be starting soon, and a lot of help is needed! Click on the DD awards banner at the top of the page for more info on how to become a judge :D
@Peipei - lol xD Actually, from what I researched, they were somewhat visible in major cities in certain areas. People liked to watch female impersonater shows. But a bar like Paulie's would probably have been more underground like you said because the men there are obviously seeking other men, which was something that could, in some cases, get you arrested then.
@Tantz - Haha, I actually love wikipedia for the quick information, but it sometimes makes info look "cheap", you know? And that was a fun page to do! I'm at the point in the story where I get to draw a lot of interesting situations.
@Usedbooks - I've heard the same thing, too. I've never gone to a bar or club but I wouldn't mind going to a gay bar just to see how it is xD.
Congrats to you on the multiple nominations as well! Honestly, I don't really do noir, either (in terms of the way I draw this, it isn't really noir, but I guess the "attitude" and setup sort of it :P). It'll be a tough category for the both of us, I'm sure; really tough competition. Don't worry though, I'll be sending you a rose soon >:D *j/k* haha
@JNP - Thanks again for dropping me that banner! I'm so excited, and thanks you for all the great work! :D
EDIT: The page should be visible to everyone now. I think it was an issue with my Dropbox @_@ (I keep all the files for this comic in there now)
