Bonus! A Special Preview of "Captain Spectacular and Star Maiden in the Inevitable Dimension!"

As promised, here’s a preview of one of the SuperFogeys backup tales appearing only in the collected editions.

Art is by the terrific Julio Molina-Muscara of the amazing, mind bending Omega Chase!

This one comes from the newest book collecting Chapter Three, “The Techno Shuffle.” If you can remember as far back as January (and I know you can’t, so I’ll keep going), at the end of chapter there’s an extended flashback sequence telling the story of how Captain Spectacular and Star Maiden got together, got married, and then divorced (start with Episode 3.93 if you’d like to check it out).

Only, the thing is, the real action–the story of just how Captain Spectacular and Star Maiden fell in love in the first place–happened offscreen. In Episode 3.96, CS and SM got sucked into a portal and when they emerged (Episode 3.97) we found out six years had passed for them!

What you’ve just read above is the first page of the 6-page tale of just what happened to them during those six years in “The Inevitable Dimension.”

What happens next? The only way to find out is by purchasing the print edition of the SuperFogeys Collected Works #2 over at the Th3rd World Store.

For now I offer this tease: Captain Spectacular and Star Maiden meet their future selves in the Inevitable Dimension, and it does NOT involve time travel. I’ll tease it even further and say that that meeting happens in panel 2 of the very next page of the story.

My hope is that no one is frustrated by this. I’m not trying to deny anyone access to part of the story. The Chapter Three flashback reads just fine as it is and you don’t have to read this story to follow and enjoy the SuperFogeys saga. What this is really about is trying to offer up something really worthwhile to those that are kind enough to support what I’m doing with their wallets. Some of you have already done so, and for that you have my sincerest thanks! Your books are coming very, very soon!
