Episode 4.125 - Blood on the Floor

Lots of reaction to Tuesday's strip. Some good, some bad. The two panels of Jerry getting shot was a rare step into something resembling decompression and not everyone appreciated the fact that it wasn't particularly funny.

Well, to those people I say: have patience. I know today's strip isn't very funny either (on purpose, obviously), but the funny returns in full force next week. That doesn't mean this isn't an important strip though: it's the first time in the course of the strip that our heroes have heard the name "Third Man." Look for reaction to that on Tuesday.

And hey, there's not much funny about gun violence. This isn't the place to really get into it, but my life has certainly been affected by gun violence on more than one occasion. My feeling is that if someone pulls out a gun then that's a big deal and should be treated as such. This week's strips are really just about recognizing that. I'm not trying to make any big statement here, just giving the weapon the weight and gravity it deserves.
