Esoln (pronounced Eh-soln) noun, an herb producing a red dye from its roots and yellow dye from its buds. As this is the early summer (late spring,) Veitia is collecting the buds.
Dera (pronounced Der-uh, not dare-uh) universal name, somewhat uncommon for a Dreike name, suggesting at Dera's not-quite Dreike heritage.
