Here's our first hint of the 'supernatural' or mysticism in the story.
Yes, there is magic folks, and lots of it. We wanted to give the
readers a taste of it early just to set the stage and make the point
that we are most definitely NOT in Kansas anymore. Totally different
realm, totally different universe, totally different rules we're working
with here.

It's kind of fun to write outside the properties of realism. While it
may seem one has total freedom when creating something like this, you
find yourself making rules and boundaries anyway to justify your
creation; almost like a logical reasoning behind what you've concocted
in your imagination. So yes, there are "rules" in doing something like
this, but they are rules that YOU create. I can only imagine how much
fun J. K. Rowling had in creating her world and rules for her work.
Creating your own rules has always been a principle for me and I seem to
admire those people the most who are confident enough and have the
courage to walk their own path; against the grain, outside the lines,
and be successful at being…well, themselves.
