Together Again For the First Time

It's always weird seeing someone again that you haven't laid eyes on in
years. You've experienced different things, you've grown in different
ways…can be pretty surreal. Folks can be VERY different from what
you've encapsulated in your memory when running into them years later.
Growth can be good…but yet…growth can be bad as well, especially
where certain relationships are concerned.

If growth has made a relationship falter, I guess the thing to do is to
be grateful for the experiences you've had with the person BEFORE the
change and don't let the present smear the past. The memories are
"locked-in" there; can't be changed. Hold on to those, and bring
up the good ones at your darkest hours. You'll laugh, you'll feel warm and fuzzy…you'll feel LOVE.  It's amazing what good memories can do.
