Last page of issue 1. I guess it's a bit of a jump from page 6. Hey, I'm learning. I'm sure by issue 16 I'll have things smoothed out. This page took me two weeks to finalize. Not because it took that long to draw (actually from sketch to colour about 2 evenings) but because I redesigned the page, city and costume so many times. I was beginning to fear that it would never get done.

Anyway, about the sudden costume change; compare the cover art to this page. I'm sure you'll see a difference. No? Okay. His suit has seams (including on mask), the nose guard is a little more romanesque (which is the inspiration for his suit design) and I dropped the logo on chest in favor of a more clean cut crest on the shoulder cape round thingies. His suit also now features wrinkles! An interesting story about that can be found in the forum.

All comments will be replied to on same page within 24 hours for atleast the rest of this month. Hope you enjoyed. It wasn't action packed, nor was it an emotional roller coaster. It's the Captain's origin and I felt a short stint like this would give me a good sharp learning curve for the next issue which will feature much hero action! When will that be? I'm not sure yet. I'm finalizing the script before I move halfway across the country. So have patients.

FANTASTIC!!!! I'm with EssayBee on this one -great Homage, and that IS refreshing, it's unfortunate that more artists now don't seem to think the classics are good for anything but a retro style joke or gimmick -Captain Legend was very exciting and I felt like I had just paid my change for it and stopped right outside the convenience store (a cool cover like that? -no way I'm waiting to get home to read it, you other customers are just gonna have to walk around me to get inside —-ah, the good old days!) Keep up the great work!

Great origin. Love the classic feel to it–and nice to see an homage to the classics instead of a parody.

I don't think we get another origin story until issue 8, then again in 10 and another in 12. That is unless I change the order again. Which I could.

Great origin issue to kick this off. Are you doing all the character's origins like this, or just the core ones?
