The shard Tikal found well enable us to go to different time periods and just about anywhere to look for the shards. Since she is a spirit she can escape from the barrier that surrounds hometown. It is now possible to leave it. The endless highway prevented the crew from leaving it. The underground kingdom was apart of it so… yeah that's way.
