And finally the first page! Sorry for the huge delay, my computer decided to be a butthead and go down like a sinking ship. Thankfully its back up.

The reason Carmelita is so irritated is A. She's been listening to her mothers friends gossip and tell her off for being so tomboyish. B. she can't reply without offending them or getting in trouble so she's just been nodding and smiling for quite awhile. I'd want some sort of distraction by then as well if I was in her shoes.
