It's meant to look like he grabs the "bat" and somersault throws it at the pole. the "hadoken" was drawn in like 2 sec which is why it looks out of place.

Also, he "blacked out" at some point during the fight which is why he doesnt remember what happened. again, it'll be explained later on and if you know it dont ruin it for others.

how oblivious can the hero be? he has been watched the entire time and he still doesnt get it tsk tsk tsk, he IS slow isnt he?
