Stupid gold fancy text, WHY MUST YOU SO HARD TO SEE!?

Might do some meddling with my text and the way i edit images so if you see anything weird or somethings hard to see, point it out please - the more flaws that are pointed out, the more i fix and the better this comic becomes.

Also, could someone direct me to a very good photoshop tutorial site? for some fancy blending/shading/etc. thanks in advance
