So, the night started as all festive occasions do: a big, steaming pot of 3-meat chili. We basically followed Dave's Advice, but added half a pound of chicken meat because, hey, why not? Anyway, after a rum and coke we decided it was time to go trick or treating. I have to say, you get crazy respect when you go around as Jack Skellington; though I had to deal with a few kids approaching me as if to get approval for their own costumes. My girlfriend actually bought a bat-girl costume this year that she wore to the Halloween party we went to last week, but since it was so cold lately she opted to trick or treat in her civvies with cat ears on. Later we were back at our place watching Rocky Horror on the new TV (and it's at this point I experimented with rum and apple-juice) before finishing the night with a trip to our friends' house to watch the original Halloween.
All in all, not a bad year. Though we did get tired of Trick or Treating a little earlier than usual and ended up without as big of a haul as in the past, but hey, we usually never finish it all anyway.
