I assume his/her species wants it to make the universally acclaimed toaster strudel. That's really the only thing I can think of that makes use of a toaster these days!

The alien that you see in today's strip is actually a character that I used in a much earlier comic of mine that ended rather abruptly, Alienation. It's the character that started it all, and eventually what I used to model all of my human characters after. Just thought you'd be interested in a little personal history lesson!
