This made me realize how true the expression, "invention is the child of necessity," really is.
I realize that I need to clear up some historical accuracy here. No, this does not depict the true inventor of the helmet. Without doing any research whatsoever, anyone would know a skateboarder of all people would never come up with such a thing - they already complain about it tarnishing their image enough as it is! Showing up with a helmet to the local Skatepark would make one the laughing stock of all the bros and hos that live there. Wait, they live there, right?
Can you believe there was a time though where parents and PSA's weren't constantly nagging you to run around wearing a helmet for dangerous activities? Ah, those were the days, for those lucky enough to experience them. Those lucky, lucky, concussion-prone souls, they were.
