UberWoman: Post-Ragnarok

It was a tragedy. A massacre.
The Mad Demigod called Ragnarok and his band of superpowered enforcers had returned.

The last time they appeared with an insane scheme to destroy the world and reshape it in their image, they'd destroyed 4 whole cities and killed countless superheroes, including the legendary Captain Star.
Upon seeing just the televised footage of their new target, Xailenrath City, Connecticut, a sickly chill ran up Captain Star's unwilling succesor, Ripstar's spine all the way over in Fort Riker, Missouri.

Heroes and villains alike in Xailenrath banded together to combat this threat.
Ragnarok, his second in command, the beefy warrior-woman, Sapphion, and their troop:
Cataclysm, who controls weather for miles around.
Defcon, who is a living conduit to another dimension of pure energy and rumored to be a future incarnation of the hero-turned-villain, "Evil Eye".
Menagerie, a chimeric shapeshifter, who can transform herself into amalgams of any 4 animals she can think of, and control animals at will.
and Coalmine, the pyrokinetic geomorph who burns almost as hot as a sun
rampaged across the land, killing innocents, warping reality, and corrupting the minds, bodies and superpowers of any unfortunate meta that Ragnarok deemed useful to his cause.

Heroes and villains alike fell to their onslaught.
Eggnog, Stampede and Lady Ness were broken by Sapphion.
Galatea was absorbed by CoalMine and added to his mass.
The idiotic vigilante, "Warblood Deathclaw" was hit so hard by Ragnarok himself, that he flew into the suburbs outside the city. Amazingly, he survived, but a lengthy coma was his fate.

There were survivors left in the aftermath of this celestial brutality, but no one escaped that fight without broken bones or punctured organs, burns and even a couple of lost limbs.

Possibly, the saddest casualties of all were The ThrillSeekers.
Recoil and Swarm were both killed that day by Ragnarok's newest minion: The thieving technomancer called Ladybug was subverted by Ragnarok's power into a hulking cyborg called 'Gremlynn'. She used her augmented abilities to burn Recoil alive with a flamethrower, and crush all of the attacking replicants of Swarm.
Rev and Orbit were seemingly vaporized by DefCon.
Only Jenny 'UberWoman' Tanner survived, and even with her surprisingly powerful abilities, she still suffered a broken arm, 4 broken ribs, multiple lacerations and a concussion.
Ragnarok moved on toward New York City, intending to raise the abandoned warship of the defeated halfbreed alien conqueror, Tyrannis Max, from the Hudson River.

Xailenrath went through trauma and reconstruction.
Jenny took it upon herself to tell the parents of her deceased comrades what happened to them.

In the months following, Xailenrath City went to hell. Politics cried over lack of funds for reconstruction.
Religion screamed that this was all destined to happen as retribution for so many people worshipping "false gods".
The criminal element, after what was rumored a "respectful pause to honor fallen comrades and opponents" returned to Xailenrath in full force.

Pygmalion and Rumble, angry at the seeming death of Galatea, began a wholesale rampage of destruction.
The Pink Vixen went missing and her father, Frank simply shut down in grief, leaving his schizoid alter ego, "Desmond" free to commit robberies and assaults.
On and on it went.

The XCPD Anti-Meta Task Force is extremely overworked.
Starhammer, the last superhero of the city, and the brutal vigilante, Midnight, were seemingly the only other ones to turn the tide. They worked tirelessly, but the events had taken their toll on young StarHammer, and he began to lose mental clarity. He was slowly becoming a one man war on crime, and sliding dangerously close to fascism.

The city was getting 'DARK', and, though Jenny Tanner was mostly healed, she decided that, without her friends, and having had her family turn their back on her after she told them the truth, she no longer loved "X City" enough to stay.
She'd just turned 18, and was determined to reinvent herself in a new city. She bummed around New York, North Carolina, Texas, and eventually settled down in Liberty City, Michigan, where some of her other relatives lived. She crashed with her cousin, Elliot Trumbull, who also had metahuman abilities.
After some deliberation and soul-searching, she decided to reform The ThrillSeekers, out of respect for her fallen comrades. She recruited Elliot, and they began searching for other members.
She sought out the ones who had similar powers to her friends, then, decided that perhaps things should be different this time, and more variety was needed.
She also decided that she wouldn't form any emotional attachments to this team. It would be for the best.
