a friend mentioned how some of the bullying Britney is going through is a little too real. so i apologize if they are upsetting but i am not going to soften these moments. they are real because in a lot of ways i am Britney. bullying is an ugly reality of my childhood both as one bullied and as one who caused it. learning to forgive myself and not feel hatred for my weaknesses has been a slow going growth but i'm working through it. i fully encourage all art that does not seek to mask the trauma of its creator even at its own risk of upsetting people. maybe you hate this bully now, and i won't tell you that you are wrong. i don't want to hold in my hate anymore.
for those concerned about Britney, i will see to it she will okay and allowed genuinely happy moments. besides, with Red she's got a tough true friend willing to stand by her and with her and i think we could all have used one of those at some point. 💜
