Sorry for the wait… Tried to have this finished before the 20th but… well birthday+ thanksgiving = Distraction. And I lost a major time chunk as well. I do have a definite idea on where to go from here… So there's only 3 more comic's before Dream "Man"'s appearence.
Now for the review. The MET club starts out rather typically for a comic with a bunch of guys live together plot. There's some creative use of a few gags here and there, Like the timestopper one. It gets repetitive with a few of the gags, but not to the point where they are over done (in the context of the comic itself. They may be overdone in a general sense, as in every other comic uses them. But at least every other page isn't the same gag.) Really the turning point was whne they changed clothes… The comic started to head towards the right direction. The humor may be stupid based (No I'm saying the the humor is stupid, just that it is based on "Stupid people are funny") but it was heading towards new and fresh stupid ideas. Or not. I may read a lot of comics, but I really have little clue what is now same old stuff. Overall I enjoyed the comic. It was by no-means unbearible. Those looking for a good laugh… may not find it with this comic, yet, but its a decent enough timekiller. Its biggest issue is that it seems to have been abandoned. Which is tragic, it could have grown to be a great/good comic. It has a nice mix of personalities, and if they were given enough time, you could have developed them into nicely developed charectors. Graphically its a nice clean comic. Nothing sloppy. So it presentable. However as far as an 8-bit comic is concerned, its towards amatuer rather than expert. A few words about 8-bit sprite comics. 8-bit sprites are probably the quickest sprites to make. However don't let their simplicity fool you. It takes some to a lot of skill to make a sprite that looks 8-bit and even more skill to make truly 8-bit (Theres color restrictions). One you get the method down, you can easily make 8-bit comics that can do the one thing I'm trying to do with my comic, become as dynamic as many handdrawn comics and lose the stiffness and "2-d"ness that are the inherent weakness of most sprite comics. Overall the comic is decent. I wouldn't fairly call it good, yet. But I'd still continue it. I'd like to see how it grows. —Review end—
One last note: I've noticed some people starting to get alittle tired of the reviews (Myself included), probably wanting to see the end of the level. With that noted… There is only one remaining review before the RM fight. Thats not to say that the remained two review requests are out of luck. Far from it in fact. I've review them when I end up returning to the Oneiroi. It may be awhile… But heck, the current ones were requested last year…
[Edit] I forgot to mention. I'm considering asking for an assistance for this comic… There's a few things I'd like to do with the pagelayout and maybe add a much needed cast page.
