Only in-joke here is that Carolyn was very impressed by Brian's handshake.

I had a crisis of faith today and put my FF3 preorder towards a game called Contact instead. It's weird. Instead of treating you, the player, as if you are a member of the world you're exploring, Contact makes it very clear right from the get-go that you are a video gamer forcing some random guy to do your bidding. It's like EarthBound, in the sense that it's somewhat of an RPG parody. Good stuff.
