And here we have the premiere of one Mr. "The Commander"! Celebrations ensue.

Some of the workarounds they use in the Pokemon games are just silly. Having HM's like Strength so you can move massive boulders out of the way are fair enough, but Surf, in some instances…man! These kids have the energy to walk/bike across the entire continent, and they can't swim a kilometre-long passage? Yeesh!
