You thought you were going to get a whole bunch of Pokemon battles as Bryan went through this Gym, replete with huge special effects and epic back-and-forth exchanges?

You forgot which comic you were reading.

Oh, and for the record, I am exaggerating nothing. Real-Life Bryan could kick all of your asses without breaking a sweat. I've seen him power through Gyms in under a half-hour. Under TEN MINUTES, for the early ones.

Originally, that (theoretical) Charmander in the 4th panel was going to be called "Char-Char", but then I thought, hey, why not give a name-drop.
