Antique Editions of Bramblethorne Ladies Academy Unearthed

For a decade, it was mere legend: a "comic book dump" rumored to harbor millions of copies of "Bramblethorne Ladies Academy Issue #1" in the vile swampland of the North Kent Marshes.

But now, the Bramblethorne graveyard has been exhumed, and the latest attempt to find the cache of comic books has been declared a success. Helped by heavy machinery, a crew found some of the books today, in a dig that inspired the Twitter hashtags #DiggingUPBramblethorne and #PutItBackInThere.

"We found something," Boris Doghair, owner of the Pink Petal Comic Book shop, told an excited crowd at the dig site this afternoon. "We found an intact Bramblethorne comic book. There's boxes and boxes full of this tripe."

The search for the trove of discarded comics has taken on a sort of mythical importance for some Totty Comic fans, who see the mystery of what became of millions of comics as an explained and justifiable event in popular culture.
