Ahhh such bittersweet news, for today is the final page in this issue of Bramblethorne Ladies Academy. An ill fated trip to a thimble museum it has been, but we have savoured many smashing japes along the way. Time only now remains to pack up and head back to the old shack and lick our wounds before the next adventure.

Bramblethorne Ladies Academy: A Potted History.

Bramblethorne Ladies Academy was founded in 1809 by Mr.Rotherum H.Bramblethorne as a finishing school. Rotherum's staff of three scholars initially provided a syllabus focusing on the education of young ladies of matrimonial age in the social graces of the time.

It was in 1814 that tragedy struck the institution. After teaching a particularly vigorous class, Rotherum H.Bramblethorne was slumbering in his study when he was set upon and murdered by a dastardly assailant. His throat was slit from ear to ear and the image of an large snake was daubed in blood upon the very expensive and recently laid shagpile carpets. To this day the perpetrator of this heinous crime remains unknown and all of those carpets had to be replaced.

Rotherum was bestowed with the honour of a state funeral at Westminster Abbey, this was in no small part due to his fine work with the education of the Royal family over many years.

After his death, Rotherum's staff Mr.Gideon Frosbisher, Major Harold Harmsley and Ms.Angela Chufnel took charge of the academy. Their focus shifted over the many decades to incorporate the more troubled and mischievous members of society and their readjustment.

Totty Comics' exciting stories here at Bramblethorne begin in 2009, when a 19 year old Nancy Nightingale and her friends Veronica, Daisy and Suzy join the academy. (See Issue #1 of Bramblethorne Ladies Academy).
